Baron Manfred von Richthofen better known as the Red Baron in his red Fokker wrote WW I history. The Dr. 1 was the most agile of all aircraft in use at the time and achieved high rates of climb. This plane was delivered to the troops in June 1917, and withdrawn from the front end of 1917, however Richthofen flew his until April 1918.
